Always Room for Something Cool – Rocket Cooler

A little bit ago, a friend of mine was getting ready to throw a party that was going to require a LOT of festive libations. Rather than mix ‘em up one by one, she thought building them by the batch and dispensing them office water-cooler style would be the way to go. (Sidenote: Kudos on this brilliant idea for serving punch, tea, or, in this case, sidecars.) Her search for dispensers, though, led her mostly to those plastic orange coolers that are strapped to the backs of construction trucks. While functional, those things have a little more hard-hat style than what you generally look for in your cocktail soiree accoutrements.

This Rocket Cooler from Signals practically winks, whistles, and says “bottoms up.” It’s sputnik-like little shape has me thinking a “Space Age 50s” party might be in order for this holiday season. The silvery legs already look so festive.

Hmm, I can already imagine the fun of dispensing something spacey green and sparkly from its shiny chrome tap. (Tang is not a good mixer, people. Don’t be wooed.)
