Tray Chic

constantinople trays at shopscad
Yes, Spring brings flowers, those cute rubber rain boots, and Giants opening day. But even better, it kicks off the season of late evenings spent on the patio, meals featuring words like “grilled,” “rotisserie,” and “brined,” and icy beverages both adult and kid. Of course, I could shuttle drinks to my guests two-at-a-time, taking a bunch of trips and missing valuable snippets of Angelina Jolie-focused conversation. But why entertain like a peasant when I could have one of these trays from the shop at Savannah College of Art and Design?
I dig the patterned plywood but it’s the metal curb — actually, I think it’s the rivets on the metal curb — that really give this that retro modern je ne sais quoi. One of these trays set with double old fashioned glasses filled with a little something sparkly and lime-trimmed would class up even a hot dogs and chips-based soiree.

In New York the air was so warm the other night I could feel the nights of margaritas and chips and guacamole on patios stretching before me. Is there anything better than outdoor cocktails? Those trays are super cool – I would like a cocktail served on one very much!
I agree, they are terrific!
oh how good would a bowl of guacamole look on that tray? nice one!
