Where is the Mail? Hm. Wheerre isss the Maaiil?

storage boxes at pure modern

I’m going to go ahead and just declare that storage is the number 1 issue faced by folks with small homes. And space aside, if your house was built when armoires were more common than closets, you have it even worse. In fact, we have some friends for whom bountiful storage was such a dream that when they married, rather than take either of their surnames, they re-christened themselves the Shelf family. True story.

Anyway, small homes frequently demand that you use the hide-in-plain-sight method for storing your stuff. When we were last visiting our folks my sister christened my mom’s various baskets “crap cozies” and while that’s pretty dead-on, it sure doesn’t mean the crap cozy itself can’t look great. So that’s the long way ’round to introducing this set of 3 simple, modern (dare I say graphic?) storage boxes at pure modern. Bold, simple imagery on a clean plywood box — that’s all I need to hold at bay the pile of mail, photos, receipts and other detritus that piles up on my dining room table.

If you’re feeling crafty, you could reproduce these fairly simply. In fact, you could make a whole set with matching magazine boxes and paper trays. You’d have to HUNT for enough crap to fill all those cozies.

Ya know, the fact is these boxes are so attractive and so affordable that I don’t even think I’d try to replicate. That being said, I need to go put another layer of varnish on the “mail” cheese box I’m making for a friend. Sighhhh, there is just something about what we craft ourselves….

You ladies really SHOULD get paid for featuring products–I bought two of these, and combed your archives until I found them to buy them!
